Open Access Policy Statement
The International Journal of Emerging Technologies and Advanced Applications (IJETAA) is an international scholarly journal focused on emerging technologies and advanced applications. We are committed to promoting knowledge innovation and sharing in related fields, and fostering communication and collaboration among researchers worldwide. IJETAA adopts an open-access publishing model, providing readers with free, immediate, and permanent online access to all published articles.
Open Access Publishing Model
All peer-reviewed and accepted papers will be made freely available to the public. Readers can read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles through the journal's website without any charge or prior permission. This means that your research findings will be accessible to a larger global readership, greatly increasing the impact of your work.
Copyright Policy
Authors retain the copyright of their articles while allowing any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of the articles. IJETAA publishes articles under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0). This allows others to remix, adapt, and build upon your work non-commercially, as long as they credit you.
Open Access Fees
To support open-access publishing, the journal charges a certain Article Processing Charge (APC) to authors whose papers have passed peer review. The APC is used to cover costs associated with publication, such as peer review, editing, typesetting, and online publication. Authors are required to pay the APC after their paper is accepted and will receive a formal invoice after the paper is published. We provide authors with various payment methods, such as credit card, bank transfer, and check.

Why CC BY-NC 4.0 License?
IJETAA has chosen the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0) for the following reasons:
1. Author Protection
The NonCommercial clause protects our authors' work from unauthorized commercial exploitation by entities that may repackage and resell academic content without adding value or properly compensating authors.
2. Academic Integrity
This license ensures that research outputs are primarily used for educational and scholarly purposes, aligning with our mission to advance knowledge in emerging technologies.
3. Historical Consistency
All articles published in IJETAA since our launch use CC BY-NC 4.0. Maintaining consistent licensing across our archive protects the rights of all published authors and ensures legal clarity.
4. Author Community Preference
Many of our authors, particularly from academic institutions, have expressed preference for protection against commercial exploitation while maintaining open access for research and educational purposes.
5. Full Open Access Compliance
Despite the NC restriction, IJETAA remains fully committed to open access principles:
✓ Free immediate access to all published content
✓ No barriers to reading, downloading, or distribution
✓ Permitted use for education and research
✓ Allowed adaptation and derivative works (non-commercial)
✓ Global accessibility without subscription fees
What CC BY-NC 4.0 Allows:
- Reading and downloading articles without charge
- Sharing articles with colleagues and students
- Using articles in courses and teaching materials
- Including articles in institutional repositories
- Text and data mining for research purposes
- Creating derivative works for non-commercial purposes
We believe that open access accelerates the dissemination of knowledge, promotes innovation, facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration, and benefits all of humanity. As a responsible open-access journal, IJETAA adheres to ethical standards, implements strict quality control, and provides authors with high-quality and efficient publishing services. We work together with researchers to advance the development of open science.
